The Digital Technology Centre is a flagship centre in the North West that provides training, IT and manufacturing support, managed office units and conference facilities for developing technology or innovation businesses. It also works closely with students and staff at Burnley College, providing links between business tenants and the education sector.
"This centre is the first of its type in the region and we're keen that each area reflects our aims and ethos," explains Chris Baxter, managing director. "We wanted to show what we were all about using an impressive display in reception - it's the first thing you see when you walk in. We already have two large plasma screens but the holographic screen has a real "wow-factor" as it stands 6 feet high in the middle of a 30ft reception area."
Mike Cole, commercial director at Visual Planet, said that the display solution allowed the Digital Technology Centre to maximise the potential of their reception area: "Reception areas are literally an opening to the organisation and provide an opportunity to communicate more than just a welcome. With digital displays and signage, an organisation has the ability to adapt the environment for the occasion and to control content displayed at all of its offices remotely."
