Wholly owned by IAG, the new facility is almost twice the size of the existing office and service buildings combined - 16,300sq ft, compared to 9,200sq ft. Its purpose is to enable greater efficiency and allow future expansion, illustrating IAG's commitment to Europe and in particular the UK. "All IAGUK customers benefit from localised stock availability, service and spare parts which is becoming less common in the professional audio market," says the company.
IAG UK remains at the core of IAG's activities going forward, incorporating a range of functions such as product R&D, sales, marketing and servicing. The new HQ will also have demonstration facilities which will give the more Southern-based customers the chance to see and hear some Wharfedale Pro's larger more powerful systems.
IAG UK's service department has already moved to the new building, to be followed by all other departments in June. "This might cause a slight disruption whilst the move is taking place so apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused," the company adds.
Speaking about the move, Tim Harris, managing director of IAG UK, said: "IAG are committed to giving UK customers the very best sales and service experience. This new facility will enhance what is seen by our dealers as already one of the easiest suppliers to deal with. Not many pro audio suppliers can boast that they hold stock of all their products listed in their UK price list and can deliver the next day (or even same day in some areas!)."
"IAG view the UK pro audio market as hugely influential globally, investment in our new UK HQ will allow our R&D department to develop Wharfedale Pro products for even greater success in the future. Wharfedale Pro benefits from working closely with our HiFi design team renowned for award winning products."
The new address and contact details are as follows: IAG House, 13/14 Glebe Road, St Peter's Road Industrial Estate, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, PE29 7DL.
