White Light's Projects team, led by Roger Hennigan, became involved with the project through White Light's regular collaborator, lighting designer Mike Robertson, who was working with the team at the Federation to specify the equipment that the new venue would require. This has seen White Light supply and install a new lighting installation made up of three Strand LD90 dimmer racks feeding seven internally wired lighting bars, with the dimmers controlled by a Strand 300-series lighting console. The lighting installation was undertaken by Mark Bradbrook over a period of approximately two months, working around the rest of the building programme.
White Light's Sales team then equipped the theatre with a new lighting rig consisting of a mixture of ETC and Selecon equipment, including six Source Four Zoom 15/30° profiles, six Source Four Zoom 25/50° profiles, six Source Four 26° profiles, fourteen Source Four Pars, 12 Selecon 1200W Fresnels and four Selecon Hui 500W four-colour cyc battens. All of the lanterns were supplied 'ready to go' by White Light, complete with lamps, plugs and safety bonds in times for the theatre's first performance on 24 June.
