UK - Wigwam Acoustics has recently acquired four BTR 700 radiocom wireless intercoms systems from London-based UK distributor Orbital Sound. Adding the systems into their hire stock, Wigwam has increased their potential to offer seamless on-site communications. Wigwam was a major supplier to the Golden Jubilee Celebrations where they gained their first experience of the BTR 700 system. Since then the systems have been deployed extensively on a wide variety of large-scale events across Europe and Internationally.

Geoff Muir commented: “The BTR 700 is a very powerful and versatile tool and is ideal for any type of production from theatre, to festivals, corporate and broadcast applications, it allows the production team to communicate in real time and quite simply promotes seamless operations on- site. Since we took the product on-board it’s been continually out on hire and has become a “must have” item in any systems design.”

The BTR 700 system is available for sale through Orbital Sound. It is featured packed and easy to operate. Unlike other radio communications systems, it works straight out of the box and offers a frequency range of 518-740MHz. Selecting frequencies is very simple by virtue of its advanced form of ClearScan technology. It is possible to walk into a new venue anywhere in the world and receive a clear set of available frequencies, in less than a minute. It is compatible with other manufacturers of two-wired and four-wired systems, including Clearcom, ASL and Tecpro without any need for external two/four wire connectors.

BTR 700 systems have been supplied to the following: Beyond the Conference, The Barbican Centre, Dobson Sound, Pete Macuik Installations, Blitz Vision, Dimension Audio and the Northcote Theatre in Exeter.
