Jason Carlton, head of business development (events division), says that the new division is concentrated on developing a range of innovatively designed products to meet customer requirements coupled with working in partnership with a small number of key distribution partners. "We are not simply modifying scaffolding equipment, but are focused on providing bespoke products for technically demanding clients", declared Carlton. "At the same time we aim to provide the best possible after-sales service. The Youngman Group already has a reputation for quality and customer service within the construction industry and our aim now, is to repeat this in the events sector."
Jason Carlton, who has a background in lighting and rigging and joined the Youngman Group in October 2008, says he is looking to establish a small network of distributors. "We have already signed our first two major UK distributors. Both are well established businesses supplying the events market with the same customer focused approach as Youngman. Our products and their service will ensure we get the Youngman Events Division off to a flying start", commented Carlton.
Already, Youngman Event Solutions has developed and rolled out a core product range including a series of two-chord unit beams, an aluminium crowd-control barrier complete with a full range of accessories and a modular staging system. "We will also be launching a new camera and lighting tower in August," added Carlton.
Youngman signed a distribution agreement earlier this year with US company, Staging Concepts for their range of products which are now stocked in the UK allowing Youngman to respond quickly to demand. "The events sector is a growing market, and Youngman is committed to working closely with our key distributors and developing new products to sell into this sector, Our ambition is to replicate the international success we have in our core access business to the events market, drawing on our skills in design, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing," concluded Carlton.
