The simulation includes high quality graphics and sound and the entire system is housed in a custom built 'Super Tour' flight case with racing seat, steering wheel and pedals. The 'Speed Challenge' will take the lap times from each hour of the show, and the visitor with the quickest time walks away with a 5 Star 25th anniversary, limited edition briefcase. More than that, the overall quickest time over the four days will receive a £2,500 voucher to spend at 5 Star Cases.
5 Star will also show a selection of cases from its various ranges, including the recently updated Steel Frame Shock Rack in Tour Grade, which features a durable inner steel 19" rack frame and load-bearing rubber shock mounts. These racks are particularly suited to AV systems and broadcast equipment, ensuring additional shock protection. Another rack system benefiting from a 'face-lift' is the rack-in-a-box. This versatile case comprises of an outer flight case from the Industrial range and a removable inner plywood sleeve, which is CNC machined with durable textured finish and features removable side panels for additional equipment access.
Due to the recent investment into additional CNC machining facilities, 5 Star will be showing samples of Inserts from its foam division. On display will be various CNC machined inserts, showing the range of colours available to special order. Die cut inserts are a large part of the foam division's output and will also be on display.
The brand new Pioneer DVJ-1000 player will be on display - one of its first UK showings. 5 Star's design team has worked closely with Pioneer to develop a 'top of the range' system console for professional DJs housing twin DVJ-1000 DVD/CD deck, DJM-800 mixer, video switcher and triple TFT display monitors. This 'Special Projects' console shows the capabilities of 5 Star's two Thermwood CNC machining centres and will form the centrepiece for the company's PLASA display. 5 Star will also be producing transit cases for the DVJ-1000 and consoles to suit most applications and combinations.
