Over 550 clubbers attended the atmospheric event where Northern Light had provided a complete club sound system, as well as lighting design and production and several crew members to ensure that the whole experience went off with a bang.
Neil Numb, events manager for ECCF, says: "I am overwhelmed with the support that we received from our sponsors Northern Light and from the Edinburgh club scene as a whole. This is definitely one of the best gigs we have done for charity and I am speechless with the final total raised of £10,000."
For a separate project, Northern Light worked with Eastern Exhibition and Display to win 'Best at Show' for the exhibition stand produced at a recent trade show aimed at individuals who finance, manage and build shopping centres. The stand was representing the work-in-progress Silverburn Shopping Centre in Glasgow, and incorporated a simulator, which took delegates on a flight through the new centre.
The British Council of Shopping Centres (BCSC) Conference and Showcase 2006 took place on 6-8 November at the G-MEX in Manchester and attracted almost 3,000 delegates. Northern Light provided Eastern with lighting design and production to enhance the overall look of their stand. The moving wash lighting and LED units used gave the exhibition stand the edge it needed to beat over 100 other exhibitors to the title of 'Best at Show'.
Alan Somerville, exhibitions director at Eastern, said: "Our thanks go to Northern Light who have again delivered a fantastic lighting package for the exhibition stand at this year's BCSC Showcase. The movement and colour change lighting effects gave the stand a presence that deserved the title 'Best at Show'."
Colin Cuthbert, managing director at Northern Light, said: "Our expansion into the events market continues to gather pace and awards for what we've achieved amply demonstrate that Northern Light is a key player in this area."(Chris Henry)
