UK - Black Light has confirmed its autumn training line up. The three courses will provide an opportunity to get hands-on experience of some of the most exciting and sophisticated lighting equipment on the market. Expert tuition will be provided on technology and software from industry leaders, Avolites, Vectorworks and Zero 88.

"These courses are designed for stage and event professionals who want to find out about the capabilities and operation of the latest gear," says Black Light's head of customer relations, Claire Södergren. "They'll be useful if you are coming to the equipment and software for the first time, or if you've used it in the past and want to find out how to get the most out of it."

The details of the three courses are as follows:

Avolites Titan - 27 September at S.E.C.C Glasgow, free of charge. This free course will cover the operation and capabilities of Avolites' Titan operating system. Developed from the original D4 Operating System, Titan brings powerful new features - such as Fixture Exchange, Clone Fixture and Multiple Timers - to the company's range of lighting control desks.

Vectorworks - 23-24 October at Black Light, Granton, Edinburgh. Cost: £120 for one day; £190 for both days. (FST members will get a reduced rate of £100 for one day and £170 for both days). This progressive two-day course begins with an introduction to using Vectorworks. The second day focuses specifically on the lighting design capabilities of the software. The Vectorworks line of software provides professional design solutions for the entertainment industry and is used by many award-winning entertainment designers.

Zero 88 - 11 October at Black Light, Granton, Edinburgh, free of charge. This free course will cover the programming and operation of the ORB XF, along with all the new features of ZerOS 8 including the Matrix Engine (pixel mapping) and Remote Device Management (RDM).
