The conference system was installed in five different rooms inside the Palace of Parliament building. The spacious Unirii Hall was used as the main conference room, accommodating 65 delegates, around 200 listeners and 46 interpreters with 24 interpreter booths (each with two or three interpreters).
The main racking system serving the Unirii Hall comprises two DCN Next Generation central control units, two audio expanders to provide recording for different audio channels (for local and European Broadcast Union recording), and one Integrus transmitter for digital infrared language distribution. From this system, an optical fiber link connects four additional rooms in one redundancy network comprising additional DCN Next Generation systems and Integrus digital infrared systems.
The final room in the optical network is provided with a DCN Next Generation central control unit, an Integrus transmitter and one audio expander for the European Broadcast Union (EBU) team. The delegate units are Concentus Full Function with LCD graphic displays.
In addition to the optical network, a stand-alone conference system with separate interpreting facilities has been installed in the Reception room. This system comprises one DCN central control unit, one Integrus transmitter for wireless language distribution and one audio expander for different audio channels.
