Sixty artists including Widespread Panic, Zedd, Umphrey's McGee, Knife Party and The Roots performed on one of the events five stages
USA - Bandit Lites is continuing its summer of music festivals by providing the lighting for the CounterPoint Music Festival, where more than 60 artists including Widespread Panic, Zedd, Umphrey's McGee, Knife Party and The Roots performed on one of the events five stages across Georgia's Kingston's Down 5,000 acres.

The lighting coordination for the three-day event was managed by 3srCreative, with Seth Jackson working with Bandit to create looks that would be visible both during the day and evening. "The main stage had a much larger rig with the MAC Vipers," said crew chief Shawn Worlow. "All of the stages used a 4 ZR foggers and Base Hazers. We used a lot of fog and haze for the day time performances with open white and less saturated colors to make it all pop more during the daytime."

CounterPoint's mainstage consisted of three 42' trusses, backdrop and video. Equipment included MAC Viper Profiles, GLP X4S, Martin Atomic 3000 Strobes, Nexus 4x4s, Vari*Lite 3500 Spots, 8 light Moles Fays and Clay Paky Sharpys. At FOH, the lighting designers had two Grand MA2 consoles with CAT6 running to the stage for any video content.

"By working with some of the headliners touring system, Seth Jackson was able to create a versatile use of fixtures to fill the stage," said Bandit project manager, Shawn Lear.

Bandit also provided the festival lighting package for DJ Zedd, where MAC 2000 Beam Kits, Robe Pointes, Nexus 4x4s, Mac Auras and Martin Atomic 3000 strobes helped set the mood for his powerhouse sounds.

"Shawn Lear and Mike Golden were instrumental in pulling off the multiple stages of CounterPoint," said Seth Jackson. "Once again, Bandit was terrific at integrating my design ideas into reality. All of our logistics and day to day transitions were handled with great ease and expertise."

"C3 Presents always make an event run like a well-oiled machine and this was no exception," said Bandit's vice president Mike Golden. "Seth Jackson did his magic on the front end and with Bandit project manager Shawn Lear working out the logistics, Shawn Worlow as Bandit's onsite crew chief and Dizzy Gosnell providing his invaluable skills, this event ran like a military operation."

Due to the scale of the event, Bandit provided a sizeable crew to ensure all the stages were operating at the Bandit standard. The crew included Sarah Eucker, Carter Fulghum, Jon Houle, Teresa Porterfield Fensler, Patrick Cowden, Dylan Gammon, Andrew Jacoby, Hap Prater, Ryan Waldron, Billy Willingham and Shawn Worlow.
