UK - Preparations for PLASA06 at Earls Court in September are hotting up with the announcement of this year's feature-packed agenda for DJs - in particular the headlining events of DJ Sunday.

PLASA06 will give DJs a chance to get their hands on all the latest gear and mix with some of the best-known names in the business, offering DJs everything they need to get great sound and fantastic visuals, with hands-on demos of everything from stylish turntables to cutting-edge VJ kit.In fact, all the major developments in DJ and VJ technology will be on show - decks, CD players, mixers, video kit, effects, software, samplers, samples, styli and headphones - spanning both analogue and digital domains. And there'll be other gear to check out too, with over 300 pro audio, lighting and video companies previewing major new products.

Exhibitors with new DJ and VJ products confirmed to date include Allen & Heath, Ebsel / Proxfade, Formula Sound, Gemini, Harman Pro, Martin Professional, Miltec, Numark / Alesis, Rane, Sennheiser, Shure, Soundcraft, US Blaster and Yamaha - a great cross-section of the industry, with more to be named shortly.

Their new kit will be launched amid the massive buzz of the show's opening day, DJ Sunday, supported by iDJ magazine, when PLASA06 will host events from the prestigious Gemini DJ Competition, alongside a package of on-stand demos, giveaways and workshops.

DJ Sunday is packed with numerous events, with the Gemini 'Extreme V' DJ Competition at its heart. A major showcase of current and new talent that attracts entries from all over Europe, the Gemini competition is a great chance for visitors to demonstrate their own DJ'ing skills and learn more about DJ'ing. It's open to all comers and full details about the competition and how to enter can be found at the web address below.

Among DJ Sunday's many other special features and events will be the ever-popular Talkzones, where music industry experts talk about different aspects of DJ'ing and dance music, including technical skills, online music and the business of music in general. Also at PLASA06 will be the Raw Talent Showcase, in which the winners of iDJ's monthly mix competition will perform throughout the day and the A&R Zone, where budding producers can bring along their demos and get expert opinion from some of dance music's leading labels.

Finally, there's the social side to PLASA06. The Show's many bars and cafes are ideal places to catch up with the rest of the music and entertainment technology industry, including the huge Central Bar, right at the heart of the show.
