The range of complementary modular products was showcased on the Doughty stand and has been designed to allow designers to quickly create robust and professional lighting or scenic structures of varying drops and shapes.
Accepting the award from Olivier award winning actor Lesley Manville, Julian Chiverton, sales director of Doughty, said, "Until now, the Drop Arms, H Frames and T Bars have only been seen in prototype form. so we really weren't expecting to be in the running for this award. But feedback on the stand from lighting designers and others has been amazing and we're honoured that our new range has grabbed the attention of so many of our peers and industry experts."
The modular system is designed to provide a safe, flexible rigging method for suspending luminaires from a truss of fixed tubes and barrels, the wide range of configurations opening up the possibility for highly innovative lighting design.
Julian concluded, "Lighting designers and riggers have been putting together very crude, DIY versions of our new range for years but, from the response we've had, and now this award, it would seem that our Drop Arms, T Bars and H Frames are what the industry's been crying out for - and with the Doughty range, we guarantee an attractive, but most importantly safe, solution."
