Specified by local church installation specialist David Corick of Springwood Professional Services, the system includes a Dynacord PowerMate 2200 22-input mixing desk, and a comprehensive package of Electro-Voice lapel and lectern microphones, ideal for a church which regularly features bands of up to 12 pieces in its services.

Rated for 600 watts long-term power handling and capable of producing high SPLs whilst providing a very smooth frequency response, the Zx5 is ideal for the variety of programme material in a progressive church service, says the company.

Corick specified the Zx5 speakers without actually hearing them, such was his confidence in the EV brand. "Electro-Voice works equally well with music and speech, and this quality makes it ideal for churches. Additionally, the products seem to last forever, so, in the long run, they don't seem that expensive."
The Albany Road Baptist Church is using a wide variety of EV mics, also provided by Springwood Services, including instrument mics such as the RE510 for the musicians, and ND767As for lead vocalists.
