The new DDX 3622, DDX 4022 and DDX 3842 join the DDX range, offering powers of 1200W, 1600W and 1900W into 4 Ohm respectively, with 2 Ohm/2-channel and bridge mono/4 Ohm capability. The new DQX amplifiers are the DQX 4844 and DQX 6044, which offer 4-channel output of 1200W and 1500W into 4 Ohm respectively and 8 Ohm bridge capability.
Both DDX and DQX amplifiers are based on Kind's patented TeoTon digital circuitry, which couples power efficiently to the load and provides low current drain.
The amplifier's global power supplies work anywhere in the world and offer PFC (Power Factor Correction), a regulated switching power supply for reduced weight which easily deals with high variation in the AC mains voltage; even if the supply drops by 20% below its nominal level there is no loss of the amplifier's rated output power. The regulated power supply also presents sonic advantages, such as better cone control and the same fast response as a linear power supply.
All DDX and DQX amplifiers employ sophisticated protection circuitry. Under normal use these features are inaudible and all protection methods are independent for each channel. Protection includes LSC (Load Security Control and Short Circuit), Thermal Protection with power level compensation and loudspeaker DC Voltage protection.
The new amplifiers, like all models in the KDL, DDX and DQX ranges, will also accommodate the new Kind DSP Board-1 input card that can provide all of the functions of a loudspeaker system crossover/controller without the need for an external processor. The PC programmable 2-in / 3-out processor card has crossover, EQ, compressor and delay functions, providing cost effective and tamper-proof system solutions for most applications.
