Peter Kallio of Music & Lights explains: "We wanted to wait until we had the right clients, even though we took the decision to buy GEO T in spring 2003, the day we attended the launch of the system in Frankfurt."
Based in Västeras, about 100km from Stockholm, Music & Lights has grown steadily since it invested in its first major league sound reinforcement system, buying Nexo Alpha in 2001. Most recently, it has been asked to work on larger and larger projects, and has found itself sub-hiring Nexo GEO T equipment to provide adequate coverage.
Throughout the long Swedish winter, the company is occupied with large indoor events held in sports stadia, going outdoors for the season of summer festivals. Although they supply a lot of equipment to venues for touring bands, their business now includes more large corporate events featuring music. "To put it simply, we bought the GEO S system to address the corporate work, and now we have the GEO T for the large music events," says Kallio.
"We've been very satisfied with all the different Nexo systems, and we have everything from the PS Series to GEO T tangent-arrays. In some ways, you can go from the PS to the GEO T and find that the sound has almost the same character. That's what we like. If you like Nexo, you stay with Nexo."
