The Prolyte Group Customer Services team
UK / Netherlands - In the wake of the PLASA 2010 announcement of the merger between Dutch trussing and structural specialist Prolyte and UK-based Litestructures, the newly-formed Prolyte Group has announced the first steps towards integration of the two companies - a restructured and revitalised Customer Service department and the implementation of brand management teams.

The move coincides with the launch of a new corporate identity. Designed to reflect the recent changes within the organisation, the new look is a combination of existing brands and logos that have been updated for a fresher, more modern feel.

The Customer Services department is the first area to benefit from the reorganisation. Focusing mainly on quotations and order handling, Customer Services will be the first point of contact for customer enquiries. Supporting the CS department will be the newly-created brand management teams. The increased capacity and investment in product know-how along with optimised procedures will result in better and swifter response to customer demands, says the company.

Heading up the department is customer service manager, Wieze Klaver. "Our main aim is to provide our customers with the best possible service," commented Klaver. "We are convinced that his new structure with dedicated brand management teams will create an even stronger and more efficient sales operation."

The brands in question are the existing Litestructures and Prolyte lines that have been combined into four individual product groups, which will have the capacity to develop into separate brand lines in the future. The four brands are: Litestructures - encompassing all specialised, smaller truss systems from Litestructures, such as the ShopLite and AstraLite and the Prolyte E series truss; Prolyte Structures - the familiar X, H, S and B series truss, including all towers and roof systems; Stage DEX - comprising the LiteDeck, Prolyte Barriers and Stage DEX; Prolyft: based on the Prolyft hoist series as well as the Prolyte Theatre Products, like winches, ProTrac and further stage automation equipment.

A brand engineer will support each brand manager in order to guarantee fast and efficient product support.

Technical director Marc Hendriks says: "We have devoted many, many hours of work in order to give this internal reorganization 'hands and feet'. A dedicated product group specialist can answer questions much more quickly and efficiently, and divide the workload better. We are particularly pleased to announce the appointment of a Prolyft specialist, which is something that we are sure will elevate the brand. Michiel van der Zijde is well known by many of our customers and has decades of knowledge in the field of entertainment. We are sure that he will make a big contribution to the team."
