Contestants for the 2008 awards showcased a wide variety of new products and product applications from the simplest problem solver to complex uses of technology that extended the boundaries of the entertainment technology field. Project nominations showcased everything from theatrical productions to special events to permanent installations and highlighted the collaborative nature of our industry.
Nominations may be made by anyone in the industry, but an ESTA Member must be involved as the designer, manufacturer, supplier, or collaborator. Nominations for the 2009 awards must have been introduced to market or taken place between 1 October 2007 and 30 June, 2009 and must not have been previously nominated. Nominations close Wednesday, 1 July, 2009.
A panel of judges, including well-known industry veterans and rising young stars gets to have all the fun determining the winners. The finalists will be announced in early September and the winners will be announced at ESTA's annual dinner on 19 November 2009, the evening before the LDI show opens.
