Mackie's Tony Williams (left) welcomes Sean Martin to the company.
UK - EAW has appointed Sean Martin as European technical sales manger. Martin, one of the UK's most experienced international sales people, claims that the reason he's been in the business for 23 years is because "I just can't seem to get out of it". During that time, he has worked for a number of loudspeaker companies including JBL, Turbosound, Tannoy, Canon and Court Acoustics where he started out as a projects engineer.

Martin commented on his appointment: "Although my recent roles have been in international sales, I look at each system from a technical perspective. Being a member of the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers certainly helps that aim. I am absolutely delighted to be joining EAW, as it enables me to return to the touring sound market with one of the major loudspeaker brands. It also allows me to continue the relationship I have made with the many distributors and contractors in the international sound contracting market". Reporting to the Mackie headquarters in Wickford also means that it'll be the shortest journey he has ever had to make to get to work!

Mackie's Tony Williams added: "The appointment of Sean is a reflection of EAW's strengthening business over the past year in Europe, The Middle East and Africa. It will help us to build on our customer support in the region and continue our ongoing growth. It's rare to find a person of Sean's experience and ability. He'll certainly be a great addition to the EAW team."
