The company reports that 40% of the sale for March 2004 were for Sunlite Suite 2004, which offers advanced software functions for live control; 30% were for the Easy Stand Alone, which offers remote internet editing and internal clock triggering, and 30% were for other products, including Magic 3D Easy View (an offline 3D visualizer for DMX consoles), Sunlite Intelligent DMX Interface (intended for software developers) and Sunlite Limited Edition (a promotional item for lighting manufacturers).
The company reports that it is particularly expecting sales of Easy Stand Alone to rise in the next months, thanks to the introduction of the new Ethernet-IP version of the interface. A winner of the PLASA Award for Innovation, as well as an Eddy Lighting Product of the Year, this variation from the company's typical USB interface has had great acceptance and support from customers, especially in the architectural lighting environment, they report.
The sales are predominantly from European customers, although with increased participation in numerous trade shows and exhibitions all around the world, the company is now beginning to see "a real increase in sales in other countries, especially in Asia and America". This trend supports the company's decision to open a Nicolaudie branch in the United States (Orlando, Florida), which is operating already, and its the plan to open another branch in Asia in the near future.
Finally, the company reports that a new release of its software is currently in progress. Sunlite Suite 2006 will incorporate, among other things, a virtual MIDI console program that will allow users to view a physical model of their MIDI consoles on their screens, making it easier to assign lighting fixture control to the consoles. Another feature available in all products will be the Color Manager, which, the company says, will enable an easy, fast, and powerful way to assign colours to different lighting fixtures - particularly useful when it comes to the ever-increasing use of LED fixtures.
