The main room system comprises a mix of TXD-121 mid/high and TXD-081 mid/high delay speakers, complemented by TSW-718 subs. Innovative also supplied a separate outdoor portable DJ system of TXD-121s and TXD-215s, with additional TXD-081s installed for the bar area audio system. Designing the main system from the ground-up, starting with the subs, Innovative arranged for Turbosound's TSW-718 models to be trialled in the venue for three months prior to the installation. The depth and tight response of the 718s proved to be ideally suited to the club's dance music requirements, say the company. A variety of mid/high speakers were also tested - for size, performance and price - with TXD coming out on top.
In the finished system, four TXD-121s are positioned in a stereo quadraphonic arrangement, with two TXD-081s delayed for dance floor fill and a further two delayed in the adjoining bar area. The system is processed with a Peavey Digitool, and tuned using a Wi-Fi Tablet PC - allowing an engineer to roam the venue, adjusting EQ, delay, compression, and limiter settings in real time. The portable DJ system, required for the outside courtyard, includes two TXD-215 subwoofers and two TXD-121 mid/high cabinets, plus Lab Gruppen FP3400 amplification.
Innovative believes that Turbosound's line-up of top class systems is a key element in its own success, as Brendan Sadgrove explains: "This is the sixth installation where Turbosound has helped further Innovative's reputation of being committed to providing superior products and a reliable service. We are building a strong following in Australia for the high-end sound of our Turbosound systems, demonstrating that we truly have blue blood!"
