Germany - The night of 30 April -1 May is a big one for Germany's lovers of electronic music, as promoter i-motion's annual Mayday extravaganza draws clubbers from all over the country to an all-night feast of cutting-edge music.

This year's event saw a new arena added to the event in Dortmund's Westfalenhallen, equipped with a large Turbosound audio rig.

Effectively divided into four separate areas for the event - Arena, Casino, Empire and Factory - it was the latter in which regular Turbosound users BLL and CE-Veranstaltungstechnik combined to provide a huge Aspect rig to ensure the pounding beats of 12 Techno and Hardcore acts -including Vince, Korsakoff, Sven Wittekind and Angerfist - were experienced to the maximum by several thousand clubbers.

"The Aspect rig has received only praise for its power and clarity, it is the perfect system for electronic music," says Carsten Eichstädt of CE-Veranstaltungstechnik, who designed the sound installation for Factory. "So we were very happy to be invited to use it at Mayday, as it has been one of Germany's premier dance music events for 15 years."
