HD Pro Audio is exhibiting for the first time: the company is the UK distributor for Optocore's fibre optic audio and data networking system, is also a main dealer for the Digidesign Venue Console and Yamaha' s Commercial Audio range. Sound Associates will launch two new additions in line with DDA requirements. Their new 3-channel tourguide system is ideal for theatres offering audio description or simultaneous translation. Its licence-free operation makes it cost-effective and it is offered with a range of microphones and headsets. Also on display is a 2-channel infra-red system that offers an enhanced experience for the hearing impaired.
KV2 Audio will show its ES and EX Series' of full-range, active driven loudspeaker systems, as well as the product lines it distributes: APB Dynasonics, the small format ProRack, and Apex's Sound level limiter and controller products which will offer solutions to meet the Noise at Work regulations.
Out Board will feature its new TiMaxTwo SoundHub multi-channel audio processor and playback systems. Plus its new TiMax Talent Tracker short-range radar system will be displayed, which is designed to track performers and make their audio image automatically follow their position onstage. Also on show is the range of loudspeaker management and EQ devices distributed by Out Board.
Orbital Sound will showcase their Integrated Communications Solutions for theatres. From simple licence-free walkie talkies to complete radio systems that integrate into in-house paging and telephone systems, their new service division allows direct communication for stage doorkeepers and dtage managers to interface backstage, and provide advanced paging systems, offering multi-assigned configurations for arts performance spaces.
Also on show is a host of new radio comms solutions from HME, including The DX300 2-Channel master station and the revolutionary WS200 Wireless Speaker Station. The DX300 supports up to 15 wireless production crewmembers at a time, with up to three communicating in full duplex hands-free mode. WS200 is unique and provides a truly mobile solution when a remote speaker station is required. The WS200 does not have to be hardwired to a master station, eliminating the costly and time-consuming task of running cables. The latest bodypack transmitter from Zaxcom, featuring the unique 'Tube Mode' analogue audio replicator option will be displayed and DigiDesign's ultra-compact Mix Rack will also be showcased. d&b audiotechnik's E8, E12 and E15X -SUB loudspeakers and the new D6 amplifier will also be at the show for the first time.
Direct Telecom is staging its 'Two Way Digital Surgery" which will showcase a host of radio solutions. From entry level licence exempt units through to the new Mototrbo digital two way radios from Motorola - plus numerous earpieces, headsets, remote speaker microphones will be on display with experts on hand to offer practical advice.
Allen & Heath will show its new digital and analogue mixers, including the iDR0 2U rack processing unit, which provides all the processing features of the company's flagship iLive digital mixing system for networked audio. The unit will be shown as part of a comprehensive iLive system, comprising an iDR10 mixrack and iLive-112 control surface. Also on show will be an iDR DSP system for installed audio distribution.
