Blackman, who spent more than 10 years developing export sales with one of Europe’s leading lighting and lamp suppliers, is responsible for developing and increasing sales and Vari*Lite product awareness in the UK, Eire, France and the Middle East. "It’s wonderful to be working for the most respected name in the automated lighting industry," he commented. "Because Vari-Lite is still relatively new to the sales market, now is a particularly exciting time to join the company and contribute to its growth into new areas."
Nick’s previous experience in the markets for which he is responsible make him a good fit for Vari-Lite. He started his career in lighting, working for a major lighting equipment manufacturer, which led to him to a lighting and studio equipment distributor specializing in the Middle East. After more than 15 years within the lighting industry he is well-equipped to help expand Vari-Lite’s growing sales division.
