USA - Dreamstate SoCal's creative design team’s vision for their main 70ft high, by 160ft wide, and 60ft trim stage was to deliver a production that took fans on an evolving journey across the universe. 

Designed by Erik Mahowald of Bending Light Productions with animation overseen by Brent Bucci of The VJ Collective, the stage was far more than just massive. It also transfixed the Long Beach crowd by exploding with vibrant colours, mind bending video imagery, immersive 3D features, inflatables from Airworks, and scenic designs from Leisure Expert Group.

"The stage was designed to evolve throughout the festival, taking fans to different planets, environments, and worlds," explained Bucci. "Working closely with Jeff Ryan, director of Dreamstate, our team developed a total of 20 major show looks, with custom intros for each artist.

UK - Brompton Technology is expanding its customer services team as part of its ongoing commitment to providing support at every stage of the customer journey. The newly structured team will oversee the entire process - from order processing and delivery coordination to training, technical guidance, and long-term product servicing.

Leading this initiative, Chris Grandin has been appointed director of service delivery and will join Brompton’s leadership team. Since joining the company in July 2019 as technical support manager, he has played a pivotal role in enhancing technical support services. With over two decades of experience in live entertainment and events, including previous roles as group technical advisor at Gearhouse Group and technical services supervisor at Christie Digital Systems, Grandin is well-positioned to lead this expanded function.

UK - Built on 13 years of audio research and four years of video data, the 2025 edition of the RH Consulting (RHC) report provides a detailed analysis of the adoption of audio and video networking protocols into manufacturer products. Germany - Michael Jackson’s legacy continues to shine, and through the Tony Award-winning MJ The Musical, his music, moves, and story come to life on stage. The show, which has travelled to New York City and London, began its run in Hamburg at the Stage Theater an der Elbe in December 2024.

Lithuania - High-profile politicians and dignitaries from across Europe attended a special event in Vilnius to mark a shift in the Baltic states’ power grid in February, with Green Hippo’s Hippotizer Media Servers energising the visuals.

Energy Independence Day celebrated decades of work by Baltic states Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and the EU to connect power to Europe rather than Russia. As Polish President Andrzej Duda and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen addressed the press, a highly synchronised and video effect-laden show was presented, by creative technical storytellers at Lithuania-based Marfa Lights.

USA - Latin music’s glitterati turned out to perform at the Premio Lo Nuestro 2025 Awards for a night of celebration and recognition, with each act enveloped by a huge LED screen controlled by Green Hippo Hippotizer Boreal+ MK2 Media Servers.

Taking place at Miami’s 19,500-capacity Kaseya Centre, the ceremony was broadcast on TV by Univision and hosted by Mexican actress Alejandra Espinoza, Italian singer Laura Pausini and Mexican singer Thalía. Global star Shakira was the most awarded artist.

UK - The O2 has appointed digiLED as official LED OOH screen supplier. The announcement follows a multitude of successful LED screen installations at the venue, spearheaded by the new super-sized LED screen in the main entrance, which went live in early March. Measuring approximately 192sq.m, it will be the largest standalone screen at the venue. Additionally, two other LED installations are set to follow, the larger of these being a high-resolution replacement for the existing outdoor cylinder screen.

Austria - Leyard Europe has been involved in a major installation at the Red Bull Ice Hockey Arena in Salzburg. As part of the extensive digital signage overhaul, ROPA Digital Displays provided a customised solution with Leyard’s Tfree transparent displays, featuring a 2.6mm pixel pitch and an exceptionally lightweight structure.

The project presented several challenges, particularly the limited load capacity of the arena’s roof. However, Leyard’s innovative technology and tailor-made approach enabled ROPA to deliver an advanced solution that met the venue's specific needs.

The installation consists of four Tfree Pro-F 2.6 displays, with the highlight of the upgrade being the new LED cube positioned above the ice rink. This 4 x 2.5m cube replaces an outdated rear projector system and was carefully designed to meet strict weight specifications.<

Canada - Lighting a festival in a former power plant lends itself to electrifying images. The team at Onedot certainly thought so. They took this inspiration and flew with it during the three-day Lumen Festival that Produkt produced at New City Gas, a site that traces its roots back to an 1849 generating station.
