Spain - German fibre network specialists Optocore continues to break new barriers in their technological evolution, and full evidence of this can be seen at ISE 2025.

In particular, this applies to the new 12G-SDI standard. With the increasing demand for higher bandwidth, in both the broadcast and live event spaces, 12G-SDI is the logical option to support higher speed UHD formats (4K, 8K etc), with higher bitrates and a greater number of colours.

UK - Sometime around the start of the second century, in the spot where The Guildhall now stands, the Romans completed a coliseum which housed chariot racers and, yes, gladiators. On 13 November, a bit of this ancient grandeur (happily without actual gladiatorial combat!) returned to London, as the city hosted the premiere of Ridley Scott's Gladiator 2 at Leicester Square, complete with set pieces inspired by Roman architecture.

The setting, created by Limited Edition Event design, welcomed a glittering array of guests, including the film's director and stars, along with King Charles. Contributing to the festive tone of the event was a lighting design by Richard Godin that was run on a Chamsys MagicQ MQ250M desk, anchored by a legion of Chauvet Professional LED video panels, all supplied by Milton Keynes-based IPS.

Spain - INFiLED’s lightweight, high-brightness AR Series LED panels are powering the Jumbo162, billed as the world’s largest mobile LED screen. This 162m² behemoth will be showcased prominently outside the Fira de Barcelona during Integrated Systems Europe 2025 next week.

Europe - Chinese manufacturer Taylorleds has announced that it is expanding its worldwide distribution network to open up new markets in Europe for its extensive range of large-scale, high-resolution LED video walls as part of its global sales strategy.

A new customer experience centre will open in Reading in February, designed to provide access to the company’s indoor, outdoor and live event LED video walls, the newest among them being the VX Series which is aimed at the rental market and will be launched at the ISE trade show in Barcelona.
