On two Friday evenings (4 and 11 March), Gigi D'Alessio's concert - held the evening of Saint Valentine's Day at the Radio City Music Hall in New York - came to the TV, in a programme titled Gigi, tu vuò fa l'americano (a tribute to the maestro Renato Carosone).

Riccardo Bocchini produced a technological backdrop that, with the aid of a play of light and 3D graphics within a huge wall of LEDs measuring 12m by 30m, brought to mind the lights and sequins of the variety shows of the past.

D'Alessio sang duets with international stars like Liza Minelli, Paul Anka, Anastacia, and many others.

This is the first installation for the DigitalSpot 7000DT series in Belarus. The fixtures were specified by Robe's Belarus distributor Art Ramos - also a technical design & build specialist - to the installers as part of a government contract. Main contractor Belcultproject was responsible for supplying the products to the venue.

The Sharpys were used to create the impression that the studio was live in LA, the beams moving around the sky line.

"For part of the set dressing - lighting plants and louvered windows, I wanted a wide beamed LED Light source so I chose the Chroma Flood 200 TC," says Reed. "For me this was an ideal light as it gave the beam spread that I was looking for a great colour range and being Tri colour LED's I get very good and strong colour coverage."

The stages - Main, Freestyle, Arena & Flawless - were spread around Olympia, and a production lighting design for all of them was created by HSL's project manager Dave Singleton. Singleton has designed this show before but this was his first time working for HSL who have been lighting equipment suppliers for the last two years.

The event which followed the Awards Ceremony at the Royal Opera House, utilised multiple spaces in the venue, including the Great Room, the Ballroom, reception and peripheral areas.

It is the third year that Renegade's Nick Gray has been involved in designing the high profile showbiz event, working for production company AD Events. The National Theatre embarked on a programme to upgrade all its lighting control desks to Eos some three years ago, while Paule Constable took the decision to run Love Never Dies on Eos less than a year ago, declaring herself the desk's "biggest fan".

Pont du Gard is a classic tri-level aqueduct built 2,000 years ago over the Gard river in Southern France. This display of Roman engineering and masonry is visited by more than a million tourists every year and is a focal point for cultural activities and festivals. Renegade's Nick Gray once again created a collection of different lighting designs to compliment and emphasise the individuality of each show.

It was the fourth consecutive season for Gray lighting the BFC Tent, constructed in the grounds of Somerset House, one of London's most historically significant landmarks. The design was based on a single central truss, flanked by two off centre trusses and a flown, raked front-of-house grid.

The Sydney Catholic Vocational College is a multipurpose training facility catering for students who wish to learn skills ranging from hospitality, video recording, audio recording and production for live theatre.

The installation includes the CableNet system 18.7m x 12.7m and Jands JLX PRO Lighting Bars each equipped with DMX, house light and dimmable outlets

Over 1000m of Jands wool drape was used for this project including movable drapes surrounding the 'Multipurpose space' on two levels, a cyclorama and green screens in the Green Screen Room.
