UK - In celebration of the Betapack's 16th birthday Zero 88 are launching an updated version at ABTT this year.

All the best features of the Betapack have been retained so users can be assured that the Betapack 3 will offer the same reliability and durability as the current version. A number of new features have been added to improve the dimmers functionality. These have all been added with no extra cost, ensuring the Betapack 3 continues to offer fantastic value for money.

The new features include: MCB protection as standard; isolated DMX input; patchable per channel; preheat, topset and dimmer law selectable per channel; 12 programmable backup memories; three programmable 99-step sequences with adjustable times; auto DMX termination when loop-through plug is removed; temperature monitoring and progressive overheat shutdown.

The versatility of the Betapack means it can be installed, rackmounted or carried into position and its legendary reliability and durability make it the dimmer of choice for a huge variety of venues, says the comapany.

Graham Eales explains: "Since its original launch in 1990 Zero 88 have sold hundreds of thousands of Betapack dimming channels across the globe. In fact if you were to place all these dimmers one of top of each other the pile would stretch higher that Mount Everest! The Betapack has universal appeal from small schools right through to international casino complexes. At the end of the day there are many six channel dimmers in the market, but it's the Betapack that technicians rely on to get the job done."

Zero 88 will be marking the celebration with a special birthday cake on their stand on the first afternoon of ABTT. Visitors to the show will be able to take a look at the new dimmer and enjoy a slice of success!

Following on from the launch of their Charity Initiative in March, Zero 88 will also be collecting Teddy Bears at the show. The Lean on Me charity they support in South Africa looks after babies orphaned by AIDS and tries to ensure all new additions to the centre get their own teddy bear. If you have any unwanted bears / soft toys (new or in good condition) please bring them along to the show.
