UK - disguise has announced the integration of Mapping Matter into disguise Cloud, a significant update that will enable users across large-scale installations, location-based experiences (LBX), brand experiences, live events and more to plan and previsualise projection mapping projects - all in one place.
With the integration of Mapping Matter, disguise Cloud will be the only platform that offers interactive previsualisation and projection mapping tools directly in one web browser. Using the same tools leveraged by Cirque du Soleil, Moment Factory and Creative Technology for nearly a decade, live events teams will be able to take charge of their video projection specs, luminance levels and pixel densities while easily iterating on complex projector placements in the cloud.

Portugal - Europalco, created the concepts for Caixa Fora da Caixa, a meeting staged by Portuguese public bank, Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD).
The seventh Caixa Fora da Caixa internal meeting took place at the Altice Arena in Lisbon and gathered 4,000 Caixa employees under the motto ‘Together we can go further’. The annual event highlights the results achieved in 2022 and the challenges ahead for 2023.
Agency Prestigio for Brands relied on Europalco to deliver an exceptional event for CGD. The Lisbon-based supplier provided the stage, furniture, sound, lighting, video, and rig, also a 40-people team that worked for two weeks and one day in-situ to prepare the event.

UK - As part of wider refurbishment works, Epsom Downs Racecourse has undergone an audio-visual overhaul to bring it into line with modern-day standards.
The site had a combination of audio and video systems which had been modified over the last 20 years, and needed rationalising into a single, dual control, easy-to-use system. Europe - AVer PTZ cameras are the latest addition to Audio-Technica’s roster of partners that integrate with the ATND1061 beamforming ceiling array microphone, delivering in-person authenticity to remote conversations.
Using the AVer PTZ Link software, supported on Windows and Mac, talker position data from the Dante-enabled ATND1061DAN can be used to recall stored pre-set position data configurations of AVer cameras. Italy - Following his success in the United States and Europe, Diodato, winner of the Sanremo Festival 2020, returns to Italy for a tour that will take him around Italian clubs for the whole of summer 2023. The singer-songwriter has already performed in famous clubs in Turin, Milan, Padua and Bologna, where his new single If You Want Me, the soundtrack to Diabolik - Ginko all'attack! was hugely successful.

Australia - Taking place from mid-February to early March, WorldPride is a global LGBTQIA+ festival that has been staged since 2000, with cities vying to be chosen as the host. Licensed by InterPride, this year's WorldPride took place in Sydney, making it the first-ever host city in the Southern Hemisphere.

China - Macau TDM (Teledifusão de Macau) provides public broadcasting news services in this special administrative region (SAR) of greater China. Running five digital terrestrial television channels, a satellite television channel and two radio channels, it has extended its HD network with the addition of four BroaMan Mux22 interfaces, provided by Hong Kong-based system integrators, ProHarmony Technology (PHT).
Macau itself is situated on China’s southern coast, across the Pearl River Delta from Hong Kong, and the new installation is specifically to service requirements at their Macau HQ. UK - With record attendance, PLASA Focus Leeds 2023 proved itself yet again as the go-to trade event for the entertainment technology industry in the north of the UK as it returned to Royal Armouries from 9-10 May.
This year’s show saw a strong 20% increase in attendance from 2022 and a 5% increase from 2019, confirming the rising importance of in-person connections. Furthermore, this year saw 18% more students attending – a promising sign for the long-term prospects of the live sector.
Always popular for its inclusive layout and friendly atmosphere, PLASA Focus Leeds welcomed a diverse array of visitors, with organisers reporting that one in five were business directors or owners.
