Designed by Mark Hornsby for Paul Gillieron Acoustic Design, and installed by Orbital Sound, the system is designed to handle the Cathedral's wide variety of events and congregation sizes, forming part of a major £500,000 refurbishment. Key requirements for the sound reinforcement system included scalability and ease of use, incorporating discrete speaker positioning around the Cathedral, and a flexible, mobile mixer.

The stage was once again on a revolving system, to account for the quick band change overs, with an A/B set up of splits, front of house and monitor systems and trucks. Two DiGiCo D5 Lives sat at the front of house position with engineers Chris Coxhead and Chris Morrison at the A and B consoles respectively. Mike 'Bunny' Warren operated the show/presenter console. Now in it's fourth year and set in the beautiful Berkshire countryside near Aldermaston, the boutique 'electronic music' mix of Glade offers a laid back funky vibe with "a strong aversion to all things corporate/mainstream and a great love of everything alternative, underground and interesting".

The Jewel LED is an LED version of the classic moonflower effect. It features an output similar to a 100W halogen lamp with 47 sharp red, green, and blue high output coloured beams.

"With over 3000 visitors to ENTECH 2006, this is the best place for Australia's professionals to gain an overview of the industry, and meet others in their fields," says event manager Louise Brooks.

First staged in 2004, the Crossroads Guitar Festival was created by Eric Clapton to bring together musicians of all genres. In addition to Clapton, featured artists at the all-day show included Jeff Beck, Sheryl Crow, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughn, BB King, Albert Lee, Stevie Winwood, John Mayer and many more.

"This was a once in a lifetime musical experience," observed Dave Shadoan, president of Sound Image. Prolight&Sound Shanghai has grown considerably since its debut in 2003, attracting key light and sound professionals from every sector of the entertainment and display industry each year. In 2006, over 12,000 visitors from 80 countries came to the fair.

Four days of exclusive seminars, training sessions and workshops will be held in four purpose-built PLASA Education Theatres on the main show floor in Earls Court 2, divided into official 'special interest' seminar theatre sessions and exhibitor-led sessions.
